This is a re-release of a CD that up until now proved to difficult to find. A night with 'Flamenco Billy', the Mártires del Compás debut album, is a night to remember. Los Mártires del Compás consider flamenco to be the heart and soul of their sound which they enrich with multicultural harmonies. Martires del Compas are today, undoubtedly, on the leading edge of an exciting musical movement in Spain along with bandas like Ojos de Brujo and Macaco. The flamenco and rock sound coming from Seville is not news, since en the sixties the band Smash already explored that field with 'El garrotín'. But where the Mártires have succeed is in taking their sounds to places so diverse like Cuba, France, Brazil, Londono, África, and most recently, Mexico and the United States.
