These black canvas castanets special for teachers are handmade by Castañuelas del Sur.

Castañuelas del Sur is a company based in Seville and founded by the master craftsmen Juan and José Vela Hernández, sons of Manuel Vela « Filigrana ».

These castanets are made of cotton layers coated in resin. Low and nuanced sound of short range. Ideal to be used in reduced areas and recording studios. The main characteristics of these castanets are their light weight and small “orejillas” (ears) that make them very comfortable to play.
