These grained granadillo professional castanets are handmade by Castañuelas del Sur.

Castañuelas del Sur is a company based in Seville and founded by the master craftsmen Juan and José Vela Hernández, sons of Manuel Vela « Filigrana ».

These castanets are made of wood layers coated in resin that protects them from the climatic variations without affecting their beauty and sound quality. This material preserves the magic of the sound of the natural granadillo wood yet bringing them the consistency of the fibre.

The main characteristic of these castanets is their light and small “orejillas” that make them very comfortable to play.

They are presented in a luxury sheep leather case with two pockets and clasps.
